Summary

The second Semi Final bought together Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners.

It was a fiesty start to the opening period which culminated in Andrew Kim launching a counter attack and beating the keeper to open the scoring for the Mariners in the fourth minute.

Glory pushed for the equalising goal throughout the remainder of the first half but it wasn’t to be. The teams going into the break with the Central Coast up 1-0.

With play returning to the court it was Glory attacking first and they were rewarded when Abdullah Karim fired a shot which edged just through the inside of the post off the back of the keeper. The scored locked up 1-1 with seventeen minutes to play. Those minutes continued to feature some intense powerchair football that would result in no further goals, sending the match into extra time.

Extra time couldn’t split the teams and it the Semi Final again went to penalties. Four rounds and four goals meant sudden death and it was a save by Chris Turnbull to win it for Central Coast Mariners and send them to the Grand Final.
