Melbourne City Powerchair Football Team prepare for Club Championship!

We are pleased to annouce the Melbourne City Powerchair Football Team for the upcoming 2017 APFA iPRO Powerchair Football Club Championship to be held in Sydney between January 3rd – 9th. As he did in October for Victoria, Shaun Mott will make his debut for Melbourne City as will Dylan Needham from Western Australia. Dylan will be playing his first official match of Powerchair Football at the competition.

Seven teams will be competing, Sydney FC, Western Sydney Wanderers, Central Coast Mariners, Newcastle Jets, Roar, Brisbane and Melbourne City will battle it out for the second Club Championship trophy!

We spoke to Dylan Needham about how he is feeling about playing his first official match of Powerchair Football and representing Melbourne City, “It’s an honour and privilege to have the opportunity to play for the Melbourne City Powerchair team in what will be my first major competition at the Club Championship in January. I am both nervous and excited to play my first official game and to showcase what I can bring to a national level. I feel that if the team can gel together we can be competitive even against the best teams.
