The PSV committee wishes to provide an update on the Pride Mobility 2021 Powerchair Hockey season and upcoming Pride Mobility 2021/22 Powerchair Football season.
PSV has made the unfortunate decision to cancel the remaining rounds of the Powerchair Hockey competition. When the Victorian Government allows community sport to return, Powerchair Football and Powerchair Hockey will return in the format of training and social rounds. This decision was made based on the current situation regarding lockdown and restrictions. The Hockey season only had a few more rounds remaining and the committee felt it was best to re-focus on facilitating a full season in 2022. This new focus also extends to our competitive ambitions at the upcoming nationals to be hosted in Sydney in February 2022.
The PSV committee has changed the start of the Pride Mobility Powerchair Football season to now be in December, January or February. This will allow clubs enough time to prepare their squads and start training for the competition. The season will consist of 15 rounds and then the championship. This upcoming season we will welcome Western United into the Division 2 competition. We are excited to see our Powerchair Football program expand and cannot wait to see what Western United Powerchair can achieve in their first season!
