Luke David Steps Down from President Position

A message from current President, Luke David

It has been a privilege to lead Powerchair Sports Victoria as President since 2014. From the moment I was elected, my sole motivation was to unite, inspire and grow the community that has given me so much. This organisation means so much to me and to so many others, it was a position that I was deeply passionate about.

From growing Powerchair Football from 3 players in 2014 to now over 20, the establishment of three 3 clubs (Melbourne City, South Melbourne and Western United), introducing Powerchair Hockey into Victoria in 2017 and having Victorian players represent Australia in the Powerchair Hockey World Championships in 2018, to our new rebrand from VEWSA in 2019, the organisation has achieved so much.

None of this would of been possible without the support, hard work and dedication of all the committee members along the way. PSV was built and continues to grow because of the players, family members and friends that volunteer their time to keep it all running. Special thanks go out to all of the sponsors, organisations, clubs and people that helped PSV and myself along the way. I will be forever grateful and appreciative.

I will continue to take a keen interest in the work and development of powerchair sports and of course I will keep playing! It is now time for me to put more focus on just playing and coaching. I’ve missed it so much over these past couple of years and I cannot wait to get back at it.I wish the very best to the committee for the future.

Best regards,

Luke David
