We are pleased to announce the Victorian Pride Warriors team for the 2019 National Electric Wheelchair Sports (NEWS) event to be held in Sydney between April 13th – 20th. It will be the 34th National Championships and will feature teams from New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria.
This year, NEWS will introduce Powerchair Football into the competition which will replace Balloon Soccer.
Players from our Victorian Powerchair Sports League (VPSL) were selected in a team consisting of 6 players. All 6 players will represent Victoria in Powerchair Hockey, Powerchair Football and Rugby League. The team will welcome back Jules North-Coombes who returns from retirement. Luke David retains the Captaincy while Shaun Mott will take the Vice-Captain role for a second year in a row.
