Many of our players are keen gamers, and the lockdown has given us all the chance to get a lot of practice hours in. We are looking to set up our own social gaming group and E-League and anyone interested can help us create it! This is open to not just powerchair sports players but to anyone that wants to be a part of our community.
How will it work?
The current plan is to run online social sessions and online competitions starting from February 2021. These sessions will run fortnightly on the weekend and will be player-driven. This means that once expressions of interest are closed, the players will decide on when the sessions will be held and at what times. The response from the expressions of interest will also determine what games and consoles will be played. There will be opportunities for teams or individual players to participate in FIFA and Rocket League at the start.
It is important to note that the first few months will be part of a trial period. We hope to offer more sessions, games and activities in the future as the groups grow.
Who can play?
Anyone that is a member of Powerchair Sports Victoria can participate in the social group or E-League. The E-league is a mixed competition open to all ages and abilities.
What equipment is needed?
You will require the games and consoles that are chosen to be played. Powerchair Sports Victoria will not be providing any equipment.
